I have experience in counselling both traditional couples and polyamorous relationships, but I currently only have space for a maximum of 3 clients in my office at a time physically, so if you are in a relationship with more than 2 people, it will make the most sense to conduct therapy online.

It’s important to remember that when you come for this type of counselling, the relationship is the client. I work from the following framework:

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

EFCT was developed by Sue Johnson as a relatively short-term therapy for couples that goes deeper than merely changing problematic behaviours.

It helps you to understand the emotions and reasons underlying those behaviours and what that means for your relationship and you as a person.

It answers the questions as to whether you are compatible with your partner(s) and whether you can truly meet each other’s needs.

Clients typically learn as much about themselves as they do about their partners in the process. Below is a video of Sue Johnson explaining more.
